Say Goodbye To Me Poem by Linda Barnes

Say Goodbye To Me

I sit on the bed
Watching you pace
Explaining to me
Why I should stay

Your story is the same
I am to blame
For your unhappiness
And I must change

I listen intently
Hoping I will hear
More reasons for me
To make myself clear

There is no fault
When love ends
It's the loss of respect
And nobody wins

There will be anger
Replaced by pain
Our hopes and dreams
Shattered in vain

Many reasons to stay
But more why I must leave
I pray this time you will
Say Goodbye To Me
