Sadly the cold cicada cried,
By the pavilion at this late hour
Just stopped had the showers.
Beyond the Capital's gates at the tent,
Just empty moods for drinks at parting then.
How I wished I could stay!
But the boatman wanted to be on his way.
Holding hands, we did stand -
Teary eyes at teary eyes staring;
Choked, we could speak not a thing.
Once begins the misty journey of a thousand miles,
O What lies in wait in the gloom under strange Chu skies?

Since the days of old
Heart-broken are the lovers at parting!
It's much more hurting
When leaves are falling, Autumn winds blowing cold.
And where shall I be
When I sober up tonight?
Will bank willows be in sight
With crescent Moon, morning breeze?
I'd be away for years (or might be gone for good) :
Fine hours and scenes -no longer charming as they should.
Though my love's e'er so deep and true,
To whom can I say this, but you?

執手相看淚眼，竟無語凝噎。
念去去千里煙波，暮靄沈沈楚天闊。

多情自古傷離別，更那堪、冷落清秋節。
今宵酒醒何處？
楊柳岸，曉風殘月！
此去經年，應是良辰好景虛設。
便縱有千種風情 ，更與何人說！
