Live By The Sword Poem by Alexander Thomas

Live By The Sword

True love is fierce,
In the fervent fire I melted,
Your heart too it will pierce!
With the sword it smelted,
You were the mighty hammer blow,

For I am your knight of pure white light,
Love is blinding and its oath binding,
My sweet, sweet lord it is for you I wield the sword,
My heart is true and beats only for you,
In love trust and together we will thrust,
To follow life's course on my faithful horse,
My iron-heart, my lionheart,
To live a noble life is an art,
You steal my heart, you feel my heart,
Your heart of hearts to me impart…
