Little Star Poem by Alexander Thomas

Little Star

Your exquisite light so delicate and fragile,
Through brighter but none more beautiful light straining,
Unseen by dazzled eye,
But for far reaching sight to behold,
I cherish your exuberant dance,
And your sprightly sparkle,
You caress the eye with an indelible touch,
I only need a moments gaze to swim in tide of eternal memory,
Benevolently always giving your light,
I receive your glow through the hanging sheets of space,
Time forever stood still in reverie,
With an image of twinkling splendour,
Distance does not separate,
In day you maybe forgotten,
But in dreams you will stay,
Gentle star, gentle star wherever you are find me,
Show me the way across the torrid sea,
Fill the void with light,
When the heavens fall we will be reanointed,
And we will shine together to divine delight.
