Living Poem by Amanda May Moore

Living

I want to go full throttle baby!
No, I do not mean just maybe.

I want to try everything to be tried,
I want to live without a need to hide.
I need to get out and see the entire world,
I need to take it all in and let it be unfurled.

I wish to accomplish all that I have on my list,
Because there is so much that needs to not be missed.
I wish to not regret missing out on anything,
Because I don’t want to lose that happiness it can bring.

I desire the need to feel alive.
I desire to learn how to do the jive.
I desire to know how to drive.
I desire to… I desire to thrive;

On the day with out certainty,
Without any worries.
One has to know how to lie back,
And enjoy the ride—love not lack.

I shall live life on the edge,
This I now do pledge.
I shall live life to the fullest,
I will leave to God the rest.

If I commit a crime or misjudgment,
Then that will be one more accomplishment.
I need to experience all there is to be experienced,
For I know that it will not be taken with belligerence.
No, but rather a lesson to be learned,
Something that is given and well earned.

For I want to live for the moment.
For I need to live for the enjoyment.
For I wish to live for the excitement.
For I desire to live for the amazement.
For I shall live for it all—my accomplishment.
