Living In The Future Poem by James Carson

Living In The Future

I gaze into the future and wonder day by day,
the living in the future exactly what will they say.

About the world in our day, with all the suffering and hate,
the living in the future 'will this be our fate'.

The darkness of the night, like the darkness of the day,
the living in the future, exactly what will they say.

Life comes by the minute, death comes by the hour.
The world is dying slowly by man's own hungry power.

Man's power is against him, because he has turned away,
from life and love and happiness, to rule the world today.

Let the living in the future, offspring of you and me,
see a better world to live in, than in my dreams I see.
