Living Pages Poem by Aurelia Ira

Living Pages

To what do I owe these feelings so rare,
That blossom unbidden, tender with flair
Oh, vivid soul—unreal, yet dear,
The only ones I long to keep near.

My heart weeps softly when stories depart,
Yet their echoes remain on the walls of my heart.
Though the tale may cease, its spirit stays true,
Living inside me, forever anew.

Why can't they walk in the world we know—
To love, to touch, to feel and to grow?
Perhaps they dwell where imagination flows,
In wonderlands only the dreamer knows.

For fantasy's realm is the soul's heart,
A mirror of longing etched on the wall
Though the telling is done, their light still shines,
Dreams unbound by the world's design.

They awaken the love I seek to find,
So I let them live beyond the timeless pages
Living pages, eternal, entwined.
