impassioned?
but not rational
proving the point
love is blind?

declarations easy made
or incapable of speech?
throat suddenly constricted
parched dry heart unnerved
too long too short versed?

are attachments
attractions childish fancy?
or heart's Spring bud
first quake stirrings
Summer birth love?

will it last
Autumn fall?
Winter bite
a year but last
two three more?

with fierce ardour
will every solitary
thought run to love
every lonely moment
scream pair longings?

will esteem fall
into old traps?
not worthy ropes
bind when chases
demands pursuits?

will false concepts
notions of superiority?
disabling inferiority
still beating heats
forever lovers divide?

love is not intellects
matching personalities?
love is beheld surprise
love is bright happiness
when meeting lovers eyes?

love is body language
love is betrayed passions?
alive in all lover hearts
when held in love arms
longing for lover embraces?

love is rejecting substitutes
love is mournful experiences?
no random replacements
no other lover will now suffice
lovers apart live rueful lives?

absent lover means unhappiness
to alone pine for want of happiness?
shall alone lover accept another
reject relief love offer of solace
is this imprudent or faithful wise?

to true love goes time tested victory
what other kind of love can be victorious?
genuine love distance heart makes fonder
what but love endures separation detestable
when deprived of ardent love irreplaceable?

time shall show true metal
to love gently affectionate?
without hurtful raging feelings
true love is revenge incapable
true love carries no malice?

these are the fruits of spiteful lust
love as possession weighted jealous
partner as trophy chattel property
love bound in purchase price chains
this love claims jealous remains

this love stands not fire trial tests
this love endures not for eternity
this love is washed away in adversity
this love says but your future is mine
throughout eternity loyal will shine
