Lone Traveler Poem by Shreya Jani

Lone Traveler

The gentle crashing of the waves
ah! an ever ready reminder of kismet
the many ways in which love marks you!

The aimless walking on the street with strangers
smiling at the unknown unfolding gently
the ways to love's road are similar

the loneliness a blessing to enjoy the longing
imagining discoveries that await your love
the many ways in which love marks you.

Witnessing everyday rituals of other people
joys of embracing what some may call mundane
In foreign lands you wait patiently for it to occur

The trepidation of returning home alone
to realise love's oblivion to your dreams
the many way in which love marks you
