Lonely City - Poem by joanne redfarn

like artificial hollywood,
all for public show,
my spirit a metropolis,
late nights, bright lights, discos

i can't conceal the pressure
of cameras in my brain,
the constant illness i endeavour,
the torment and raw pain

the nation sees my smile,
no distress, my reality,
i dont belong to creation,
my soul's a lonely city
