Lonely Place Poem by Casey Mackay

Lonely Place

My lonely place
That's only real inside my head,
But I visit often all the same.
Silence, sweet silence.
But the silence is not without sound.
It's alive, full of energy,
But peaceful.
The most peaceful place I've ever been.
And when I'm there, I can finally be myself,
Because no-one's watching.
