Long Awaited Love Poem by Carin Van Der Merwe

Long Awaited Love

Rating: 5.0

In front of me I now see
The long awaited love for me
In short time I learnt your ways
I saw the spark within days
Eagles soared in the sky
As you were walking by
Could it be the luck I need?
Finally the love I bleed
Has the eagles brought our fate?
Could it be to appreciate?
It was not long but it was too late
The love bloomed quickly
To a point. Left to suffocate
Now I realize the fault
My actions, my hate
Spoke louder than our fate…

Another good poem, Carin.....Compact and terse, like a capsule.....A definite 10.
