Long Shadows Of Silence Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

Long Shadows Of Silence

I claimed some moments,
some trees, fistful soil.
I claimed some air to whisper.
It's a long story I thought,
ended abruptly.
Now, in this region of
long shadows of silence
am waiting for who won't come.
Life is a funny mystery
turned me in to a joker.
But, no one laughs at me.
My antics make them cry.
I act leaving my
heart somewhere.
In the long shadows of silence.
I discard my mask and find
that the identity is lost.
Now is the time to bow down
waiting for thunderous
applause to be encouraged
for the next act.
