You and I have been through a lot
And I'm amazed how God has kept you in my life.
We had some rough times
And some good ones too
But now I can't explain these feelings that I have for you

I used to not care what other's thought of me
But now your opinion means the most to me
I used to not care about my looks
But that was until you told me you liked me all dressed up
Everytime I see you I just want to stop and stare
And now my mind is racin' about how we could make the perfect pair.

At first you were like a brother to me
Now I want you as more
But I don't know how to tell you
Without breaking the friendship up, that we have now.
I wish I could read your mind
I wonder what it would read?
Would it say if you have the same feelings towards me?

I know the truth will come out one day
But unitl then
I'll have to keep my distance
And keep my feelings hidden from you
And I'll keep dreaming of that magical day when you say to me, 'Sarah, I love you, too! '
