Long Wait Poem by PRAVEEN KUMAR English Poems

Long Wait

Where I probe for you
While you are everywhere,
I find you here, there, far,
Though beyond my reach.

You are within without,
Ever lighting my heart,
Like a dazzling torch at night
Guiding me on my route.

Yet my soul is heavy
Without you at my reach,
Nor can I ever be I
Without you at my side.

I probed you in my temple,
I probed you amongst stars,
I overturned day and night
To trace your footprints.

Dissected the womb of Earth,
Cast laser beams all round;
Far and near, everywhere,
Deadly silence I face.

You know, I am desperate,
I know, you are desperate
In our hidden cellars,
To be in mutual reach.

How long is this pain?
How long is this swing
Of ceaseless hope and grief
That burrows holes in soul?

Time is a proven healer,
For us a wheeler-dealer,
Pours fuels as years roll
To enflame great languor.

Though nowhere you are,
You are everywhere
To my subtle soul,
But that is not all life.

However far may it take,
However long it takes,
We have to reach other
To do our life full.

You know not where I am,
I know not where you are,
But so entangled we two are,
We play on the same tune.

We, unaware, in the dark,
But not so our bond;
Bond keeps track of both
And keeps us always bound.

We live in our hope,
We live in our light
That however dark outside,
We shall reach each other.

However long be passage,
Whatever travails we face,
We probe for each other
Till sublimate in to one.

Bitter makes sweet sweet,
Decades we silently suffered
Make our success great,
Bind us in divine light.
