he turned to me
'you have much to see
in this world that revolves around this sun
there is so much MORE
than just OUR universe,
my love.'

i looked at him
i was a man weathered with age
his lazy eye, an oracle
all knowing
all seeing
accepting

to him
i was a boy
but the more we spoke
the more i changed

'you are a chameleon' he said.
it comes with the territory

and oh!
he laughed
it started out in his stomach
and flowed through his fingertips
as this lonnie shook my hand
and walked away.
