I have seen your vast horizon
and saw magnanimity Ocean
it was the scene of pleasure
and reassuring me for sure

being mountain
I, too, have to maintain
and look down
to make my presence known

how calm sometimes you look!
I shake my head in disbelief
it gives me mental relief
sometimes, you raise your waves and unseat the leaves

but I remain unmoved
and look at your ocean bed
you settle down quickly and remain dead
your nature is soundly read

you are widespread
and I raise my head
to look down upon you
we both have our own way to show through
