Look Out! Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Look Out!

Rating: 3.5

There is a moose on the loose
he's snorting and charging
Be sure to stay a safe distance
Such news is very alarming

What a display… I am stunned;
chasing the antlered disaster
is an intimidating big black bear
forcing the chase to go faster

Behind the frazzled twosome
is a swarm of angry bees
The buzzing intensifies terror
Sounds of panic echo in the trees

A simple innocent craving
for the taste of refined nectar
started all this commotion...
Calling 911... requesting a protector

Bedlam is heading down a narrow path
to the middle of a quaking lake
Alas, the frightening scare has subsided…
Disregard the report of which I spake
