Looked Into The Sky Poem by Robert Sheridan

Looked Into The Sky

Created a distinction from
my own mind - there was no
north, south, east or west,
took a new direction, at first
wasn't happy, then saw a new dawn...
There appeared a vision -
was once again holding her
hand as I looked into the sky
it was there all the time,
just had to look up and see
the light, turned away from the dark...
Without a wish, without a will
my tearing eyes saw a bright star,
she had waited for me, never
stopped in believing, didn't give
in to rhyme or reason - our dream
was held by the love in her eyes...
