Looking Back Hurts Poem by veena srinivas

Looking Back Hurts

Rating: 5.0

Looking down my memory lane,
I hush my tears that do not wane.
Loving you seems a bane,
My life without you has become just so lame.
My thoughts and self am unable to tame,
For those moments of glory and fame,
Turned our relationship into a game.
I'm still a part of that lifeless past,
Which on my life, a gloomy spell has cast.
Deep in my heart's caverns I find,
Your evil angelic face etched in flesh and soul.
My heart is completely in a grind,
And has a never filling hole,
As my happiness and my all you have stole.
Now I regret seeing you,
Of taking you into my heart,
I'm yet to see someone new
As I know not how from your memories to depart.

A very poignant write on abominable betrayal! When memories of the past are painful, learn to turn your face away from the past!
