Looking To The Stars Poem by Torence Lavender

Looking To The Stars

The moon hides behind the clouds
And you hide within the shadows.
I can't see your face
But I know you're there.
What happended within that night?
Why'd you have to fight?
Just when I needed you the most
You were taken from me
You're like the wind
I feel you all around me
And yet I can't hold you or touch you.
I remember your taste and I remember your smell
I remember them all to well
Sometimes when the wind blows
Your scent hovers within the air around me.
I need you back
I want you with me
I need your arms to run to
I need your shoulder to cry on
I needyour words
to make me smile.
I need your face
to take my breath away.
Where do I run to now?
Who will protect me?
No one could ever take your place
Nor would I want someone to!
You are the one
You're the one my heart desires.
Now all I can do is look forward to the day we will be together again.
Till I can hold you in my arms
and never let you go.
To kiss your lips and hold you tight.
To feel your arms around me and have all my troubles melt away.
I love you my dove.
My dark angel.
Until then I will look to the stars
and imagine you there.
