Sun Kisses Poem by Torence Lavender

Sun Kisses

The sun kisses my face and makes the sand hot beneath me.
The ocean sings to me a lovely song
Making the laughter and love around me perfect.
There's no reason for sorrow here.
The children dig and build sand castles along the shore with their buckets.
Couples walk hand in hand in the damp sand
Making feet impressions that tell us a part of their journeys.
I love all of my surroundings.
I smile at them all as I slowly head into the water.
Something catches my eye and I pick up the shell letting me know this is real.
