Lord pardon us
Thursday,13th May 2021

Lord, are you not happy?
and worried over
our behaviour
and often committing errors!

have you not forgiven us this time?
as you did several times in the past
and reminded us
about the trust reposed in human beings

were we so ungrateful?
and not remained faithful
to our commitments
that we shall harmoniously live and present

we are facing cyclones
waters flood rivers
glaciers melt
dead bodies smelt

Now Corona is playing the villain
and remains invisible
with changing variants
and taking lives of innocent

we are aware of our follies
and that carries
our impression as unreliable
and that is why you have made us suffer and struggle

we shall be finished as a human race
and face the worst crisis
give us one more chance
to repent the wrong done with the ungrateful stance
