Lord Vinayaka Poem by Mahathi Mydavolu

Lord Vinayaka

What sin He did, that little kid, so cute,
So sweet, a toddler, not even one
Year old. For God of Gods this crime doesn't suit.
Sans ruth You chopped His head and felt you won.
As God didn't you have mystic vision Lord
To perceive that, that boy was your own son?
You murdered an innocent child, your ward
Born to Ma Parvathi, like burning Sun.
You soon realized your blunder great and brought
An elephant's big head and glewed to Him.
Did that offer solace to Mother fraught?
For Mother oh the world turned dim and grim.
O Lord Siva, with mighty powers you own
Couldn't you create a lovely infant's head
To Him. You fixed a head oh overblown
And made Him laughing stock of fun and dread!
Please forgive me O Master Shankara
Mysterious and occult too your ways.
I'm human with a brain uncouth and raw.
Please pardon me and spread Your wisdom rays.
That boy became the God Vinayaka,
The Lord of sapience and immense grace.
He made as vehicle His, Mooshika
A holy mice that moved with easy pace.
He wound around His waist a snake, the power
Of Kundalini Ma, that won Him the world.
He helps us all from situations dour
And fulfills all desires and wealth conferred.
To Lord who bestows wealth and prosperity
To Lord wo shatters all the hindrances
To Him Vinayaka I bow with glee
And pray that Lord to shower on me His bliss.
To Him, Vinayaka, Pranam, Pranam.
His name pure nectar sweet and spirit a balm.
