Lord You Work On The Inside

Lord You work on the inside
To bring an outward change
Hidden from the eyes of men
There You can rearrange
And bring conviction to a heart
To make an impression of sin
How much it goes against Your grain
And continually eats within

When your Word is analysed
And meditated upon
It should lead to the revelation
Of the love of Christ God's Son
And with a repentant heart
With eyes that now can see
A desire to call upon the Lord
And finally be set free

Then from the work on the inside
Comes forth an outward sign
A shout of...Hallelujah!
This Saviour now is mine
And God...He gets full glory
For the work that was done within
And each soul that knows Him as such
Can have victory over sin

Maybe He's working on you today
Have you sensed His presence there
Could be the new motivation you have
To turn to Him in prayer
Give assent to His dealings now
Say Lord..."whatever Thy will"
Come and dwell within my heart
While I'm waiting now and still
