Losing My Crown Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Losing My Crown

Even as I stand so proud and tall,
At any moment I could fall.
My life can come crumbling down,
I could end up losing my crown.

At any moment my reign can be gone,
With the break of a brand-new dawn.
Forever, no one can remain on top,
Eventually the power will stop.

I may be ruler of my domain,
But I cannot always remain.
I will be proud while I'm here,
Until my power disappears.

I'll someday be put in my place,
As I end up falling from grace.
A new champion shall be on the stand,
I'll humbly bow and give them a hand.
