Do you ever have a day
When you just plain want to glide?
You don’t want to plan anything
Whatever surfaces you’ll let it slide?
Your schedule is non existent
You turn off the phones awhile
The world today is just for you
You can frown if you want or smile
And when you look at the clock
You realize that you don’t care
No one is coming by today
No thoughts you ‘have’ to share
You can swear loudly if you want
Or you can sing a song so sweet
Talk out loud to yourself
No one at all you have to meet
You’ve wiped your slate clean
If only for just a day
Whatever comes or doesn’t
It can usually be delayed
I love a day just like this
For I really don’t seem to mind
To drift along once in awhile
And just plain lose track of time!
