Loss And Joy Intertwined Poem by Rehana Nazli

Loss And Joy Intertwined

Rating: 5.0

Violent winds and dark clouds
sorrow so deep like fallen trees in ditch steep
rocking and stumbling in the darkness deep
loosing loved ones in short space of time
mountains of pain and fears
floods of tears
violently swept everything out of my life
I rocked and stumbled in the darkness deep
not knowing the flood of sorrow would pass
uprooting the rotten roots
memories of old wounds
shaking the yellow withered leaves from the bough of my heart
for fresh green leaves to sprout
new roots hidden beneath to grow
new love to be born for life
