Lost Poem by Kerry Rose

Lost

Rating: 5.0

The path has forked
I wonder why
It feels like I'm lost
Which way forward am I

The way on the left
Winds along meadows and streams
While the ascent on the right
Leads to new vistas, new dreams

My miles through the meadows
Have nourished my soul
Kept the loneliness demons
From exacting a toll

The thrill of the climb
To stunning new views
Races my heart
Is it too risky to choose

Have I climbed there before
Are these only faint dreams
Oh for a glimpse of a map
Won't be forthcoming it seems

My mind says the left choice
My heart says the right
I'm needing some guidance
But no markers in sight

Long shadows are forming
But it's been a fine day
Let the choice that I make here
Not lead me astray

I really love this poem! I had my life planned out but then I was in an accident that disabled me for life now all my plans are changed, and I can't find myself in the road
