When I speak to you
I get the same old answers
When I try to get through
A lifetime of thoughts
Dwindling away
As you drift along
Each empty day
I can remember
Good times we had
Back to my youth
When I was glad
Now I can see you
And you can see me
But there’s nothing between us
You have no memory
