Lost Chapters Poem by Ndina Kamaro Muofhe

Lost Chapters

Rivers drowning, Angels swallowed to the bottom
Birth of demons
Slippery mountains, gloom's thriller
Lands away from Joy.

Sad songs sung in memory of missed moments,
Moments of an unforgettable amazing grace
A grace that rained from the same lips that uttered sweetest charms
Before it was snatched away by beaks of betrayal
To a distance unreachable again

Fallen leaves, on ground, withering
Pain, breath taking
What would it take medicating
To comfort deserted hearts mourning?

Shadows in the night
Now, where is the shining knight?
Hope had lost its might
Beneath quicksands, it is sinking

Hands of love gone with their touch
Feelings bound by restless memories
What way would it take to lead to them again?
For, it's been cold standing in the rain

Shadows of time, nerve wrecking
Essence of love, now withering
Misery, a burning hell
Only a heart can tell how hard it fell

A story of a heart blaming time
It's just a wish, summoning a lost feeling
To capture that moment
And pause it,
To make it forever last

Bitter rivers running,
Babies of toxicated promises
Frowns of a heart, to ones from new faces
For, it still misses ones so faded

Pieces of the galaxy,
Dragged asunder by claws of broken promises
All the thrill, killed
When pages it was written on, burn!
