Lost & Found Poem by Stephen Omolori

Lost & Found

Loneliness was
The dark woods that I wandered into.
Noisy like a battlefield,
A kettle of vultures hovered beneath its sky:
The Sun does not shine there.

I've been lost, I've been found;
I'm enthralled that you came to that ground.

Tossed by loss,
Memories of the dead had me droopy.
Torches in your hands,
You entered the woods just to bring me out,
Razing down the whole place.

I've been lost, I've been found;
I want to tell why my heart got you crowned.
