Lost In An Ocean Of World Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Lost In An Ocean Of World

Lost in an Ocean of world

Hard old days
Difficult nights
Memories
Galore
I cry for
Slights

On my own
I row this boat
While my mates
Have stepped
Aside

Tidal waves
Bullies at heart
Toss and turn
My little water
Craft

Daylight sun
Scorching
My skin
I am parched
My throat
Does burn

It's so quite
When night
Sets in
Just Splash
Of waves
No more
Of din

On my back
As I lie down
Clouds
Sail in
Covering moon
In shrouds

Slipping back
In to deep sleep
Dreams are only
Treasures
To keep
Nalini
