Lost In The Afternoon Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Lost In The Afternoon

The blaze is on the blooms, the windows are glazed,
Red berries are ripening, in the new sunshine phase,
Emerald is on the wood, but vivid day is lost in light,
Lazy clouds float on the blue, amid heaven's delight.

The golden glare is everywhere, this early afternoon,
The day is in a heatwave, a sparkle is on the lagoon.
Bright magenta's on the bush, butterflies are flitting,
Evening whispers softly, but as yet, no one's listening.
