Lost In Thy Thought Poem by Roberto Echanes

Lost In Thy Thought

Was I so blind that I forgot thee Lord?
'twas hard to find my way, 'twas hard to say,
to run across a sea of darkness t'shore,
to shed bitter tears of lost souls and fears.

I looked for love, but love would not find me;
I looked for soul mates, but couldn't see.
So blind was I, so blind, O crazy me;
light shines within like an endless sea.

I sing thy name, thy name so sweet in bliss,
so lost was I in thoughts of thee,
that I could not contain blissful joy and tears,
So lost, in Thy form divine, so close, so near.

Your dazzling form filled all my mind with love.
What greater ecstasy my thirsty heart could drink?
O sweet ambrosia, nectar of mighty Jove*,
O maddening love, in Thy entrancing bliss I sink.

Thy form divine filled all my senses,
Thy cup of nectar suffuses my mind and floods the soul,
Intoxicates my being with the glee of eternity;
so close, so close to Thee my Lord I feel.

Lost in Thy thought, lost in Thy grace,
river of my soul flows on Thy blissful lap,
glowing sunshine is Thy divine face,
lost in Thy thought, lost in Thy endless grace.
