Lost love splinters deep
delivers pain unto this day,
Riding loss on wind's reprieve
now blowing me away.

Cuts a river flowing darkness
guiding hopes astray,
Rushing waters rolling onward
drown within the sway.

Burning stars above gaze down
light shines in many ways,
Loss of love still shrouds upon
and inward darkness stays.

Cut all ties binding the heart
breaking in hours of need,
Love and hate becoming one
fueling the pain you bleed.

Falling stars now sail above
await your wish to fly,
Will you spread your wings throughout
or fold under their light?

Fading now the night withdraws
into a quiet hush,
As the pain with darkness grows
and fills you with its rush.

Love's light never really dims
but you don't seem to see,
Blindness guides you farther from
a love you'd find in me.
