Lost Out Of Sight Poem by Jessica Gabanyic

Lost Out Of Sight

Rain falls splattering against the window
Leaving cracks in its wake,
Thunder claps from heaven above
While people stir from their restless sleep,
A baby cries
While the mother tries to soothe,
Lost out of sight
I watch over the struggling mother,
Leaving behind the mother and her baby
I make haste to a wailing patient
Whose doctor is unable to help,
I watch horrified again lost and out of sight
As the doctor puts the patient down,
My lip begins to tremble
While tears stream down my face,
Just like that the sob escapes
The dream is shattered.
