'Lost To You' Poem by Patti Wilburn Haney

'Lost To You'

Like Cupid's arrow through my heart
Your love has pierced me to the core
Both feet jumped in the rushing torrent
Swept away beyond escape
So used to feeling in control
Reckless abandon the new creed
Heart on my sleeve-no
The palm of your hand
No longer mine to secure
Cradle it gently
Caution to the wind
Wind to the four corners
Lost to you...
