Silently for hours we sat
in the shade of a pergola on shore
gazing at the waves dancing,
sipping honey from warm smacks
of a mild mid-day Sun
whetting the hungry sands
with warm splashes,
fanning the beach with cool sea-wind
to blow us out of our mind
and passively we waited
for a dip into
the vast blue consciousness;
I could feel the heat of the Summer body
creeping into my sleeves
offering thrifty kisses in the eve,
you took me in
like the crazy sea swallowing the Sun in;
look how the roar is getting silenced
by the music of the growing sea wind!
