Love Fades Poem by Alfred Ramos

Love Fades

The situation is looking grim
Her reflection is getting dim
She is slowly disappearing into the mist
It’s like she doesn’t exist
How did I let her get away?
In this game that broken hearts play
Love slipping away without identity
I can’t believe this is happening to me
Like a mirage she’s is evaporating into thin air
How will I handle this moment of despair
She is slipping through my fingers like sand
I’m feeling things I just don’t understand
Our love is going up in smoke
The fire burning deep inside has died
The distance between us keeps growing
It’s like we never even tried
All the crazy notions are all gone
Those exclusive emotions left at dawn
I’m left to pick up the pieces of this shattered dream
No one will hear my cry of this inner silent scream
