Letting go and moving on
Not as simple as may seem
She still floats in my thoughts
Sometimes even in my dreams.
What once was in the past
Can never be again
Ive lost my love, my happiness
I'll never have both again.
Denied of my desires
I sit here so bereft
Memories and pain
Are all that i have left.
Fate has its way
Of teaching what is needed
Love has gone left me
I feel so defeated.
Pain is an interpretation
Of what words cannot express
Sadness changes nothing
Despite all my distress
