Tears go, stranded in the wind;
Left and right, they sing,
Oh songs of sadness.
Loneliness, God knows it fills my head
With all the dirty things said,
But prayer is a friend indeed...
At a time, it was my one and only need.
What months were spent,
Now love's grown in place of the seed.
Storms were frequent, calm was dead
But so the Word lay beside my bed.
Suns don't shine like they would
For it's not an ending in a storybook.
Days still depress, though not sure why,
And people change and rotate, just as sky,
But my heart expands, almost to its bursting point.
There is something within that shows without;
So beautiful, so true and kind,
And I gladly say, this is what my life's about.
