Love Hurts Poem by Ericka Johnson

Love Hurts

Rating: 4.2

You lied you cheated, it tore me apart
Put me through hell, yet still have my heart
I don't understand it, it's so strange to me
You hurt me, I love you, how can this all be
I can't help but love you, know how it feels
It hurt me to find them, sparkling red heels
I knew they weren't mine, I'm just a size 6
And though I like red, I own none like this
I have been taught, forgive and forget
But forgiving was hard, after finding 3 sets
All different sizes, none of them mine
Though you were guilty, I paid the fine
Not with my money, or pawning my chain
I not so lucky, cause I paid in pain
