Love In An Art Poem by Samuel Ndirangu

Love In An Art

Your stature, like the palm, pleasing to the eye
Like jewels, the work of a Craftsman's hand
Your name fills my atmosphere
And echoes on the highlands of my heart

Like a treasure in a safe
Are you in my world
Like a lily in the desert
Are you among many women

I can't say I love you
But it is hidden deep within my heart
I wish I could express what really is true
More and more I find myself hiding the way I feel for you

Today I march forth through cramps of anxiety
Just to whisper at your ear
To lay open my heart
Before you I choose not to fear
But to share my heart in an art
I have felt you deep enough to know
That all that overwhelms me is love for you.
