Love Is Blind Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Love Is Blind

A question hangs, a hazy veil,
Does love then blind, or does it fail?
No easy truth, no simple rhyme,
To solve this riddle, through all time.

But when hearts bloom, in passion's glow,
We see the good, and only so.
The brightest smiles, the kindest word,
A perfect melody, sweetly heard.

Yet seasons turn, and years may creep,
The rougher edges, start to leap.
The pearl's soft sheen, begins to fade,
By time's slow touch, a change is made.

Like all things here, beneath the sun,
No lasting joy, has truly won.
The brightest flame, will start to wane,
And memories are all, that
still remain.
