What a silly thing love is
Folks love only to later hate
A promise sealed with a kiss
Turns into unwanted weight.
Love can break folks in half
Not many are healed again
What seemed to be a silk scarf
Turns out to be ink stained.
Love is a pot of chaos
Though it holds beauty too
Endless pathos
Comes with it, but who knew.
We must see meaning here
Though there isn't much to find
So that we can steer
To safer shores and leave all behind.
If someone breaks your heart
Why let them go scot-free
Tell them before you depart
So, they can sleep easy.
I'd have brought you the garden of Eden
But you broke my poor heart
Not knowing what you lost, you heathen
A love like no other, you tart!
No, don't do that!
I was just kidding you know
What you must be, is a cat
Your feelings you mustn't show.
