Love Is Pain Poem by Grant Baker

Love Is Pain

Rating: 5.0

Do you ever wake up lonely in the middle of the night because you miss me?
Do you ever roll over to the side where i should be?
Do you ever smell my calone and wish you could kiss me?
Do you ever wake up cold and just want to hold me?

me, you; an us is what could be

Me?

i wake up in the middle of the night because of a nightmare
i have to turn on a light to see the reality that your not right there
i drift away again; now i smell your hair
my pillow still smells like you
the pain for love is in the air
