Keep your heart by the doorstep
or keep your heart in a marketplace;
keep your heart on the table
or keep your heart in a drawer,
keep your heart on the mountain
or keep your heart in a valley,
keep your heart on the seashore
or keep your heart in an ocean,
keep your heart in the garden
or keep your heart on a tree-top,
keep your heart on the chimney
or keep your heart in a fireplace,
keep your heart anywhere
it will never get lost
but if you find your heart is empty
and you need love to fill it,
you will find love everywhere
by the fireplace, by the marketplace
by the river, by the doorstep…….
as there are other hearts also
always seeking love
to refill, to replace, to reload their heart
for love is the oxygen of every heart.

The divinely ordained duty of the heart is to love. Beautiful poem elegantly written in good diction with insight. Thanks for sharing.
