The Suns stretches her morning fire
and overcasts the darkness of the night before
what might all this world be without desire
What might we be if we stopped asking for more
Who are we if not bedded on greed
We take the love we do not deserve
We do know what we do not need
destroying what we cannot preserve
Men are lost to the tempest tost
and women slaves by their own chains
both are equally and utterly lost
aware of themselves only when it rains
and it does not rain enough
and youth is cheap and brief
the night is cold and rough
and the sun too warm for relief
Life, is an oft misunderstood tale
Oracles claim she moves by the roll of a dice
Though my cheek and dreams be pale
I seek a life worth living twice
Wherefore I may begin again
and be born again anew
what be life without a little pain
what be the mountain climb without the view?
So rise to coming day
and see the sun set the skies on fire
the past and tomorrow were once today
Love and Live before these days expire
This poem is pure poetry in its most elevated form. It could set any mind, or heart on fire, And we, in awe, could never ask for more This is one of the very best poems
Very nice poem about life. Though people have enough to eat and save, greed never let them live in peace for asking more and more. Can it be stopped? I think nope. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for taking the time to read my poem. We can only hope that greed may end so that peace may begin.

This is one of the best and most beautiful poems ever written. It has the depth of the sea, the openness and reach of the infinite sky, the beauty of this poet's spirit, that will never die. A true work of poetic art, so rare, today. A precious pearl, unforgettable, preciously to keep
