Love, Lost - Poem by Rohan Gupta

You are gone.
Your love for me is gone.
Your smell lingers in my mind.
Your breath, your moves,
fill me with the old times.
Your smile sparkling, your face gleaming,
like the scent of the roses,
sends a shudder down my spine,
I am nostalgic, overwhelmed.

Your touch,
I can still feel it.
Your eyes,
I can still see them dance.
Your tresses wafting,
cross my mind.
Our trysts, your show of love,
take me back to that time.
You are gone.
Your love for me is gone.

I curse that moment,
that did us apart.
I cried.
I pleaded.
I said, 'I am sorry! '
I saw your eyes welling.
Your voice growing heavy,
your throat going dry.
You were gone.
Your love for me was gone.

Love can bloom again in desert also....
We can make the barren lands a dale.....
May love outpour again in your heart...

Destiny does strange things indeed...This person may have gone, but her love for you may not necessarily have gone...take heart, Rohan, move on...take life as it comes... (Report) Reply
